RESULTS OF EUROPE’S 1ST RECREATIONAL THC-PILOTPROJECT

Three years ago, the «WEED CARE» study in Basel set out with a simple but important question:

Can a regulated, health-focused cannabis model make a real difference?

Today, the answer is becoming clear — and it’s encouraging.

Participants reported reduced problematic consumption, improved mental health, and a shift towards lower-risk products, all without an increase in overall use. Just as important: stigma is decreasing, and people are engaging with cannabis in a more conscious and informed way.

For us at Pure, this journey is deeply meaningful.

As the exclusive producer for WEED CARE, we are proud to have contributed to what is considered Europe’s first THC cannabis pilot project. But more than that, we are grateful — to be part of a movement that is grounded in science, responsibility, and care for people.

These results are not just data points. They represent real lives, real progress, and real potential. They show that when quality, transparency, and education come together, cannabis can be approached in a way that reduces harm and supports wellbeing.

This motivates us to keep going.

We remain committed to advancing a science-based, responsible cannabis industry — from seed to sale — and to helping unlock the full potential of this plant for the benefit of many.

A sincere thank you to all partners including Gesundheitsdepartement des Kantons Basel-Stadt, Universitäre Psychiatrische Kliniken UPK Basel, University of Basel, Psychiatrische Dienste Aargau AG (PDAG), Federal Office of Public Health FOPH, researchers, authorities, and participants who made this possible.

Together, we are shaping the future.
