Dr. Markus Kaum is a distinguished German attorney, specializing in corporate governance, capital markets, finance law, and European company law. Educated in law at Munich, Cambridge, and Regensburg, he’s held prominent roles at Siemens AG, Infineon Technologies AG, Munich Re AG, and Mariacher.
In May 2023, he was appointed President of the Board of Pure Holding. Kaum advises both Dax 30 and startup companies on governance structures, using a holistic approach that blends legal quality with economic creativity.
As a post-trade legal expert, he was chairman at the “Joint Working Group on General Meetings”, as well as a member of several European expert groups.
Beyond corporate law, Kaum assists private investors and family offices in portfolio structuring, succession planning, and resolving complex family matters, offering personal legal support as needed. He also devises innovative management share and option plans to incentivize beneficiaries while protecting companies’ financial statements.
